Two Roller Mixing Mixer
The two roller Mixing mills are the basic part of the rubber industry. Any rubber industry can’t survive without this machine.
The two roller rubber mixing mill is primarily used in rubber ,silicone ,chemical and plastic production factories for natural rubber plasticizing, raw rubber and compound mixing etc ,it is crucial for formula development, color matching ,small batch testing,pilot production ,contrast,and quality control.
The two roll mixer is well known as open mixing mill , it is an electric mixing equipment which are able to masticate and mix polymers, including rubber, plastic, EVA or PVC pellets , chemical compounds, elastomer materials, or mixtures with similar melting points.
Two horizontally opposed stainless steel rolls rotate in opposite directions towards each other at different speeds.
Bacially , the back roller moves faster than the front roller ,so that mix the ingredients well. The speed difference between the rollers are called friction ratio,a common friction ratio is 1:1.25. The distance between the mill rollers is also known as nip ,it can be adjustable by operator and varied. Due to the reason that the opposing rotation directions and different speeds ,they would produces a combined shear and compression force on the material being mixed on the mill.
When processed, the raw materials and additional ingredients placed between the two rollers are drawn into the roller gap with the rotation of the rollers,subjected to intensive squeezing and shearing, the compound raw material is heated, crushed, and thoroughly mixed and finally create the ideal rubber compounds.
